- 18:20 MST: May 2020 through October 2021 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been regenerated as a result of historical data revision as mentioned in the MIDC News on December 17 @ 14:27. Note: TMY3 data for that date range is not available at this time. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:39 MST: Historical Flatirons M2 data since 6/1/2021 for 3 shortwave radiometers have been adjusted to accommodate for calibration factor revision described in the MIDC News on December 17 @ 15:38. Data Quality Statements (DQS) have been created to make note of the correction. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:17 MST: Historical SolarTAC data since 7/16/2020 for 3 shortwave radiometers (since 6/3/2021 for the Global CMP) have been adjusted to accommodate for calibration factor revision described in the MIDC News on December 17 @ 15:24. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:38 MST: The calibration factors for 3 Flatirons M2 shortwave radiometers were updated in the logger programs at 15:36 MST today. The revised calibration factors are approx. 0.675% higher as provided on revised BORCAL calibration certificates for the year 2021. Historical M2 data since 6/1/2021 will be adjusted to correct for this in the near future. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:24 MST: The calibration factors for 3 SolarTAC Shortwave radiometers were updated in the logger programs at 15:19 MST today. The revised calibration factors are approx. 0.675% higher as provided on revised BORCAL calibration certificates for the years 2020 and 2021. Historical SolarTAC data since 7/16/2020 will be adjusted to correct for this in the near future. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:27 MST: Historical SRRL BMS data since 5/13/2020 for 55 shortwave radiometers has been adjusted to accommodate for calibration factor revision described in the MIDC News on December 15 @ 19:54. Data Quality Statements (DQS) have been created to make note of the correction. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:04 MST: SRRL SolarSIM-D2+ was returned to service @ 11:54:40 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:54 MST: High winds apparently pushed moisture passed the gasket on the SRRL SolarSIM-D2+. It was been removed from service at 08:30:20 MST today, so that it can dry out, gasket re-greased, and desiccant replaced. It was still operational at the time it was removed. -Afshin Andreas
- 19:54 MST: The calibration factors for 55 SRRL BMS Shortwave radiometers were updated in the logger programs after sunset at approx. 19:30 MST today. The revised calibration factors are approx. 0.675% higher as provided on revised BORCAL calibration certificates for the years 2020 and 2021. Historical SRRL BMS data since 5/13/2020 will be adjusted to correct for this in the near future. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:30 MST: The SRRL BMS 2-axis (global normal) tracker failed at approx 8:00AM today, possibly due to high wind. The tracker is way off and sensors are reading very low, all 2-axis data should be ignored until tracker is repaired. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:23 MST: The Flatirons M2 tower was dropped today from 08:08 to 14:44 MST, so that the dew point sensor, temperature probes, wind speed and direction sensors could replaced. Calibration constants for new temperature and wind speed sensors were updated in logger program at 15:59 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:21 MST: September through October 2021 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:43 MST: The SRRL BMS 1-axis and 2-axis trackers resumed normal operation @ 7:56 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:20 MST: The SRRL BMS 1-axis and 2-axis trackers were put into a 40-South Fixed Tilt position today @ 15:13 MST as part of an experiment. The trackers will resume normal operation sometime early next week. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:46 MST: July through August 2021 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:59 MST: The SRRL BMS Global 90 PSP and LI-200 Sensors were replaced with sensors calibrated in BORCAL 2021-03 between 13:27 and 13:44 MST today. Logger was updated with new factors at 13:39 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:26 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (2 Upwelling Pyrgeometers only) has been imported into the AIM database. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:40 MST: The SRRL BMS Upwelling PIR was swapped out at 8:14 MST and the Upwelling CG3 was swapped out at 8:23 MST. Calibration coefficients for both were updated at 8:19 MST. No data loss occurred for either Upwelling IR measurement (data was automatically being substituted with the other instrument during swap). Both replacement sensors were calibrated in BORCAL LW 2021-03. -Afshin Andreas
- 18:59 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (3 Downwelling Pyrgeometers only) has been imported into the AIM database. -Afshin Andreas
- 18:08 MST: The SRRL BMS Downwelling PIR was swapped out between 13:22 to 13:27 MST. Calibration coefficients for were updated at 13:28 MST. No data loss occurred for Downwelling IR PIR (it was automatically being substituted with the downwelling IR from the CG4). Replacement sensor was calibrated in BORCAL LW 2021-03. -Afshin Andreas
- 18:05 MST: The SRRL BMS Downwelling CG4 was swapped out between 13:04 to 13:10 MST. The downwelling SL510 was swapped out at 13:10 MST. Calibration coefficients for both were updated at 13:11 MST. No data loss occurred for Downwelling IR CG4 (it was automatically being substituted with the downwelling IR from the PIR). Both replacement sensors were calibrated in BORCAL LW 2021-03. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:45 MST: The AM16/32B relay mux installed on the SRRL BMS Radiometer Tower was upgraded to an AM25T solid state mux between 8:16 and 8:34 MST today. The following 8 Vertical Pyranometers (Global 90) will read bogus during this time: North PSP&LI-200, East PSP&LI-200, South PSP&LI-200, and West PSP&LI-200. -Afshin Andreas

- 10:58 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (3 Global 1-Axis Radiometers only) has been imported into the AIM database. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:26 MST: The SRRL BMS Global 1-Axis Pyranometers (CMP22, LI200R, SPLite2) were swapped out with sensors calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-04 between 8:05 and 8:09 MST today. Calibration factors were updated in logger program at 8:08 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:56 MST: Data for Flatirons M2 are not updating due to a communications problem with secondary CR1000M data logger that supports the new Electric Field Monitor. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:11 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (3 Upwelling Shortwave Radiometers only) has been imported into the AIM database. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:22 MST: The SRRL BMS Upwelling Pyranometers (CMP11, CM3, LI200) were swapped out with sensors calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-03 between 13:58 and 14:04 MST today. Calibration factors were updated in logger program today at 14:05 MST (for CMP11) and 14:00 MST for the other two. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:25 MST: SolarSG v4.42 has been released for users that process their own spectral data from the raw SolarSIM data. This version supports both the SolarSIM-D2 and the SolarSIM-G. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:21 MST: The Calibration Factors for the SolarSIM-G were updated 12:16:20 MST today. These new factors apply to all on-the-fly generated spectra since the instrument was installed on April 30, 2021. However, for broadband global irradiance time series data this only applies since 12:16:20 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 06:42 MST: At 06:27:40 MST today, the SRRL SolarSIM-G was moved from Global 2-Axis back to the normal Global Horizontal position. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:11 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (3 Global Normal Radiometers only) has been imported into the AIM database -Afshin Andreas
- 13:04 MST: The SRRL BMS Direct CUVA2 and CUVB2 were removed from service today so that the instrument cables could be repaired at the factory. Note that the CUVB2 had completely failed on May 3. -Afshin Andreas
- 10:38 MST: At 10:33 MST today, the SRRL Direct PGS-100 Spectroradiometer scan rate was changed from 5 minute to 1 minute scans. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:50 MST: The SRRL BMS Global Normal Pyranometers (CMP22, LI200R, SPLite2) were swapped out with sensors calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-03 between 14:51 and 15:01 MST today. Calibration factors were updated in logger program at 14:56 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:35 MST: The SRRL BMS Diffuse CM22 #1 was swapped out today at 11:11 to 11:20 MST with an instrument calibrated in BORCAL 2021-03. Logger was automatically substituting irradiance data for this instrument from the Diffuse CM22 #2 during the time of swap, therefore no data loss or corruption occurred. Logger program was updated with new factor today at 11:20 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:20 MST: The 3 radiometers at SolarTAC were swapped out with instruments calibrated in SW BORCAL 2021-02 between 13:35 and 13:58 MST today. Calibration factors were updated in logger at 13:43 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:28 MST: At 11:02 MST today, the SRRL SolarSIM-G was moved from Global Horizontal to Global 2-Axis so that it can be calibrated. It will remain in this position for a few days, then go back to horizontal. -Afshin Andreas
- 07:46 MST: Data for Flatirons M2 are not updating due to intermittent communications problem with secondary CR1000M data logger that supports the new Electric Field Monitor. -Afshin Andreas
- 07:43 MST: 3-component broad band irradiance was installed at Flatirons M2 at 12:56 MST yesterday, this includes the following:
- 2AP Solar Tracker
- Global Horizontal CMP11 (ventilated)
- Diffuse Horizontal CMP11 (ventilated)
- Direct Normal CH1
- 15:23 MST: The SRRL 1-Axis WISER spectroradiometer was returned to service at 14:21 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:16 MST: At 13:03 MST today, the Diffuse WISER spectroradiometer system (Models MS711 & MS712) that were installed at SRRL as part of an experiment, have been shutdown. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:43 MST: At 14:31 MST today, Direct Normal collimation tubes were removed from the SRRL 2-Axis WISER spectroradiometer. Experiment was concluded and the system is back to normal operation. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:39 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (2 Diffuse CM22 radiometers only) has been imported into the AIM database. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:53 MST: Data for SRRL BMS Direct CHP1 #1, sNIP; Diffuse 8-48, CM22 #2 were repaired using redundant instruments on 5/24 8:42-8:56 MST. CUVA2/CUVB2, TUVR, and MS-57 were left as is. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:50 MST: The SRRL BMS South SciTec tracker failed on 5/24 between 8:44 to 8:55 MST for no reason. Primary direct and diffuse sensors will be repaired as soon as possible (using redundant sensors). -Afshin Andreas
- 13:04 MST: The SRRL BMS Diffuse CM22 #2 was swapped out today at 10:09 to 10:18 MST with an instrument calibrated in BORCAL 2021-02. Logger was automatically substituting irradiance data for this instrument from the Diffuse CM22 #1 during the time of swap, therefore no data loss or corruption occurred. Logger program was updated with new factor today at 10:18 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:40 MST: The SolarSG software (for SolarSIM on-the-fly spectral data only) has been upgraded from v4.3 to v4.42 to accommodate the SolarSIM-G. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:57 MST: A SolarSIM-G was installed at SRRL on April 30, 2021. Raw data and modeled spectral data can be generated on-the-fly by the MIDC web site. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:21 MST: A Flatirons M2 Electric Field Monitor was replaced by a Campbell Scientific CS110 today @ 08:42 MST. Data is collected by the included CR1000M data logger and merged with the primary CR3000 data stream by MIDC every minute. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:16 MST: Legacy meta-data for SRRL BMS (4 Diffuse radiometers only) has been imported into the AIM database. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:08 MST: The SRRL BMS Diffuse SR25 and Diffuse 848 were swapped out with instruments calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-02 between 10:49 to 11:00 MST. Logger was updated with new factors at 10:49 MST. Logger was automatically substituting data from these instruments with the Diffuse CM22 #2 during this time, therefore no data loss or corruption occurred. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:05 MST: The SRRL BMS Diffuse SPP and Diffuse SB848 were swapped out with instruments calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-02 between 10:46 to 10:48 MST. Logger was updated with new factors at 10:49 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 10:03 MST: All SRRL BMS Global Horizontal and Direct Normal Shortwave Radiometers were calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-02 (via signal patching), this includes: CMP22 (vent), CMP22 #1, CMP22 #2, CMP11, CM6b, CM3, SR25, MS-80, MS-802, MS-410, MS-602, SPP, PSP, GPP, SP-510, TSP-700, SP-Lite2, ML-01, LI-200R, LI-200, SP-110; CHP1 #1, CHP1 #2, sNIP, NIP, DR02, MS-57, LI-201. Logger was updated with new calibration factors (Z@45) at 9:57 MST today (9:56 MST for CFvsZ for PSP). -Afshin Andreas

- 14:32 MST: The SRRL BMS Global 40-South Pyranometers (CMP22, LI200R, SPLite2) were swapped out with sensors calibrated in BORCAL SW 2021-02 between 14:02 and 14:10 MST today. Calibration factors were updated in logger program at 14:07 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:05 MST: Yesterday at 17:42 MST, the relay multiplexer on the SRRL BMS radiometer tower had a problem causing the (4) Vertical PSPs to read bogus. By 10:20 MST today, the MUX appeared to bring down all the CR3000 low voltage measurements, affecting all 40-South measurements and all upwelling shortwave measurements (except upwelling CMP11). The MUX was removed at 12:13 MST (restoring 40S and UW measurements). The MUX was replaced at 12:54 MST restoring all (8) Vertical measurements. Data Quality Statements (DQS) will be created for affected instruments. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:28 MST: At 7:51 MST today, a Diffuse WISER spectroradiometer system (Models MS711 & MS712) were installed at SRRL as part of an experiment for a few weeks. Data is labeled "SRRL MS-7XX Research". -Afshin Andreas
- 08:22 MST: At 7:40 MST today, Direct Normal collimation tubes were placed on the SRRL 2-Axis WISER spectroradiometer as part of an experiment for several days. Data Quality Statements (DQS) will be created to indicate when its in this configuration. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:19 MST: The SRRL 1-Axis WISER spectroradiometer has been removed from service at 7:33 MST today. It may not return to service for several weeks because it is being used for another experiment at SRRL. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:17 MST: The SRRL BMS Temp/RH HMP-60 Probe (Data Lab) was swapped out with a calibrated sensor at 13:00 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:41 MST: Today, the SRRL WISER 1-Axis Spectroradiometer System was calibrated against NIST FEL S/N F724. It was returned to service at 13:13 MST -Afshin Andreas
- 15:51 MST: The UO Solar Tracking MS-711 spectroradiometer has been removed from service at 14:46 MST today. It may not return to service for several weeks because it will be calibrated and then included in an experiment at NREL. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:59 MST: March 2021 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:14 MST: Today, the SRRL WISER 2-Axis Spectroradiometer System was calibrated against NIST FEL S/N F724. It was returned to service at 15:12 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:21 MST: Yesterday, the SRRL WISER Global Horizontal Spectroradiometer System was calibrated against NIST FEL S/N F724. It was returned to service at 16:21 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 07:58 MST: The SRRL BMS 1-axis and 2-axis trackers were put into a 40-South Fixed Tilt position yesterday @ 17:32 MST as part of an experiment. The trackers will resume normal operation by the end of the week. Data quality statements will be created for affected instrumentation. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:13 MST: There is a problem with the SolarTAC tracker since March 15. Diffuse and Direct should not be used until repaired. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:13 MST: The SRRL BMS Temp/RH HMP-60 Probe (SE) was swapped out with a calibrated sensor at 12:00 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:30 MST: February 2021 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:33 MST: The SRRL BMS North Sci-Tec Tracker #3 died at 11:07 MST today. Fortunately, only the BMS Diffuse SPP is on this tracker. SPP will be unshaded until someone can visit the site to repair. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:29 MST: The Flatirons M2 Electric Field Monitor (EFM) failed today (it can't be repaired). It will be replaced with a new system (different make/model) in April. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:36 MST: A Lufft WS500 all-in-one weather sensor was installed at UTPA SRL yesterday. As of today, the live graphical display has been enabled for the station. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:21 MST: December 2020 and January 2021 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:54 MST: The Flatirons M2 Global Horizontal PSP was removed from service on February 1, in preparation for upgrade to solar tracker with 3-component irradiance. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:25 MST: The SRRL BMS Temp/RH HMP-60 Probe (Deck) was swapped out with a calibrated sensor at 16:13 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:35 MST: The Flatirons M2 tower was dropped today from 08:36 to 14:12 MST, so that the dew point sensor, temperature probes, wind speed and direction sensors could replaced.
