1BMSDownwelling SL-51002/10/202300:00:00The SRRL BMS Downwelling SL510 has large upward spikes in irradiance data due to a problem with the case temperature measurement. Instrument was troubleshoot and the problems appears to be the AM16/32B MUX, however it is only 1 year old. AM16/32B mux was replaced on 4/21/2023, which resolved the issue with the case temperature, however downwelling irradiance seem to be worse than usual compared to BMS references (PIR and CG4), therefore downwelling irradiance has been forced to missing value (-99999), because the SL-510 will be permanently removed from service during the next BMS upgrade.
2BMSDownwelling SL-51008/24/202200:00:0012/02/202209:51:00The SRRL BMS Downwelling SL510 has rare large upward spikes in irradiance data due to a problem with the case temperature measurement. Problem has been intermittent therefore troubleshooting can't be performed at this time. Instrument was troubleshot on Dec 1 & 2, screws at mux were retightened which seem to resolve the issue.
3BMSDownwelling SL-51012/01/201700:00:0004/26/201815:13:00SL-510 S/N 1059 and 1060 were calibrated in BORCAL LW 2017-05 (both are new sensors). S/N 1060 was supposed to be installed into BMS (and the other was the calibration spare). However S/N 1059 was installed by mistake. MIDC meta data and data calibration factors were set for the expected 1060. On April 26, 2018 the problem was discovered. Instead of swapping sensors the logger was updated for the calibration factors for 1059. However the change in irradiance was insignificant and historical data will not be corrected.
