shadowband
Installed October 1984 -- Diffuse Shadowband PSP mounted to roof of old SRRL building.
vertical irradiance
Installed October 1984 -- Global 90-North, East, South, and West PSP mounted on the outside of metal trough. Located on the inside are four PSP instruments, two 90-North (ground shielded and ground reflected) and two 90-South in the same configuration. The instruments inside were perminently removed from service on 4/7/1985. The other vertical insruments were later removed in 1988 and then returned to service in 2004. Also shown is the upwelling PSP on the radiometer tower.

Installed April 1985 -- Global Normal PSP on Eppley 2-Axis Tracker mounted to roof of old building (removed from service 7/31/2000 when old building was demolished).
global 40-south
Installed April 1985 -- Global 40 degree south tilted PSP mounted on roof of old building, instrument was moved to radiometer tower when new SRRL building was constructed on 11/1/2000.
diffuse tracking disk
Installed June 1987 -- Diffuse PSP shaded by Eppley tracking disk on roof of old building, tracker was later replaced by a Sci-Tec with a shading ball.
global radiometers
Installed March 1988 -- Global PSP and PSP w/RG780 filter mounted on roof of old building. The PSP (just the un-filtered unit) had been installed since October 1984.

Installed March 1988 -- Sun-Follower III Tracker (all direct normal): NIP #1, NIP RG780, TWC (500nm) mounted to roof of old building. The NIP (just the un-filtered unit) had been installed since October 1984.

Installed March 1988 -- Global TUVR mounted to roof of old SRRL building.

Installed July 1990 -- Direct Normal TUVR on Eppley Smart Tracker mounted to roof of old building.

Installed January 1999 -- Sci-Tec Tracker: Direct NIP #2, Diffuse PSP, Diffuse 8-48, Downwelling PIR and Global LI-200 mounted to roof of old SRRL building.
SkyCam
Installed September 1999 -- SRRL SkyCam mounted on the south east end of instrument deck. The SkyCam was destoyed by hail storm on 5/8/2017 and was removed from service.

Installed June 2000 -- EKO MS-300LR SkyScanner mounted on the north east end of instrument deck (removed from service on 10/28/2002).
Met Tower
Installed November 2000 -- Meteorological Tower: Wind Speed & Direction @ 42 feet and Wind Speed & Direction @ 22 feet. The wind speed @ 10 feet was removed from service on 9/9/2008.
Met DAQ
Installed November 2000 -- Meteorological Data Acquisition Tower: CR10X datalogger, pressure sensor, temperature & relative humidity probe, freewave radio, and communications antenna. The rain gauge was relocated near the radiometer tower on 9/12/2008.
Radiometer Tower
Installed August 2001 -- Radiometer Tower: Global Normal CM-21, Global 40-South PSP & LI-200, Upwelling PIR & PSP, and Net Radiometer CNR1.
Sun-Follower in 2001
Installed August 2001 -- Sun-Follower III Tracker (all direct normal): NIP #1, NIP RG780, CUVA2, CUVB2, LI-201, TWC (500nm). The SunFollower III tracker was removed from service on 10/1/2008 and instruments were relocated to other trackers.

Installed August 2001 -- Sci-Tec Tracker #1: Direct NIP #2, Direct LI-1800 via fiber probe (removed 8/3/2003), Direct CH1, Direct TUVR (removed 12/31/2005), Diffuse 8-48, Diffuse PSP, Shaded PIR, Global LI-200 (secondary - removed 12/21/2005)
Sci-Tec 2 in 2001
Installed October 2001 -- Sci-Tec Tracker #2: Direct MS-110 (removed 6/16/2005), AOCS (removed 9/30/2008), Diffuse CM22, Diffuse UVB-1 (removed 8/12/2008), Shaded CG4, Global LI-190 (removed 12/21/2005)
LI-1800
Installed January 2001 -- Global 40-South LICOR LI-1800 mounted on PV rack to the south of SRRL building. On 2/15/2012 the LI-1800 was relocated to the south-west corner of the instrument deck and is measuring Global Horizontal.
CR23X
Installed November 2000 -- A CR23X datalogger with AM 16/32 MUX and AM-416 MUX collect data from all instruments on deck and the Upwelling PIR on the radiometer tower. Logger is located inside SRRL data lab. The CR23X was replaced with a CR3000 w/NL120 on 11/9/2012. The multiplexers were replaced with (2) AM25T and (1) AM16/32B on 2/24/2015.
CR10X
Installed November 2000 -- A CR10X datalogger with FreeWave radio collect data from all sensors located on the Meterological Tower. Data logger was upgraded to a CR800 on 7/1/2015.
Global Center Table
Installed November 2000 -- Global Horizontal Center Table: (back row) SP-Lite, CUVA1, CUVB1, MS-210W, LI-200 (primary), PSP, CM6b; (front row) 501A, UVB-1, TUVR, PSP RG780 (vent.), PSP (vent.). The un-ventilated PSP was removed from service on 12/11/2014, the SP-Lite was relocated and upgraded to an SP-Lite2 on 1/8/2015, and the LI-200 and CM6b were relocated eary 2015.
CR10X
Installed August 2001 -- A CR10X datalogger with AM-416 multiplexor collect data from all instruments on radiometer tower (except Upwelling PIR). Also shown is the pressure sensor and NL100 network interface. The CR10X w/NL100 were replaced with a CR3000 w/NL120 on 11/18/2014. The multiplexer was replaced with an AM16/32B on 6/29/2015.
Global East Table
Installed August 2001 -- Global Horizontal East Table: SPN1, CUV4, CM22, SP-110, UV-S-A-T, and UV-S-B-T. The CUV4 was relocated in early 2015 and the CM22 was upgraded to CMP22 on 6/22/2015.
Global West Table
Installed August 2001 -- Global Horizontal West Table: TSP-1, TSP-700, and (3) TSR instruments. Note: All TSR instruments were removed from service on 7/16/2012 and the TSP-1 was removed on 08/28/2014.
RSS-1024
Installed March 2006 -- Yankee RSS-1024 Spectroradiometer mounted to the north end of instrument deck (removed from service on 7/29/2010).
Rain Gauge
Installed August 2008 -- Rain gauge located 26 feet to the northwest of radiometer tower. The rain gauge was later relocated directly west of the radiometer tower after the completion of the SRRL Expansion in 2011. On 9/8/2017, the rain guage was upgraded to a TB4 mounted on a new pole about 5 feet further to the west.
Radiometer tower (Eastern View)
September 2008 -- Radiometer Tower (looking toward the east): Global Normal CM21, Global 40-South PSP, Global 40-South LI-200, Global LI-190, Global LI-210, (4) upwelling instruments, (8) vertical pyranometers, and a CNR1 (which consists of 4 instruments). A wind speed & direction sensor measures surface winds and is used to calculate wind chill factor. The Global 40-South PSP was replaced with a CMP11 on 4/9/2015. The Global LI-190 and LI-210 were relocated to the instrument platform on 3/10/2015. The CNR1 was disassembled in March 2015 and the two downwelling sensors were removed. The Global Normal CM21 was replaced with a CMP11 on 6/20/2015.
Radiometer tower (Western View)
September 2008 -- Radiometer Tower (looking toward the west): Upwelling PIR, Upwelling PSP, Upwelling LI-200, Upwelling LI-190, and the CNR1. At the Global 90 North, East, South, and West positions are (4) PSP & (4) LI-200 pyranometers. The SRRL's primary temperature and relative humidity probe is located on this tower. A snow depth sensor is mounted on the north end of the tower. The Upwelling PSP was replaced with a CM21 on 3/27/2015. The CNR1 was disassembled in March 2015 and the two downwelling sensors were removed. On 1/17/2018, the Snow Depth sensor was relocated to a new stand 30 feet to the west of radiometer tower.
Sci-Tec 1
Installed October 2008 -- Sci-Tec Tracker #1: Direct NIP #2, Direct CH1, Direct CUVA2 & CUVB2, Diffuse 8-48, Diffuse PSP, Shaded PIR. The Diffuse PSP and Direct NIP #2 were removed from service in December 2014.
Sci-Tec 2
Installed October 2008 -- Sci-Tec Tracker #2: Direct NIP #1, Direct NIP RG780, Direct LI-201, Photometer TWC, Diffuse CM22, Diffuse CUV4, Shaded CG4. The Diffuse CUV4 was removed from service on 8/28/2014.
LI-1800
Installed February 2012 -- Global Horizontal LICOR LI-1800 mounted on the south-west corner of SRRL instrument platform (removed from service 5/8/2015).
MS-7XX
Installed March 2014 -- EKO MS-701, MS-710, and MS-712 (WISER) spectroradiometer system mounted on the south-west corner of SRRL instrument platform. The WISER system can be mounted for global or direct normal measurements (requires DNI tubes and solar tracker, not shown). On 9/8/2017, the MS-701 and MS-710 were replaced with an MS-711.
Global West Table
Installed March 2015 -- Global Horizontal West Table: TSP-700 (vent.), CMP22 #1, CMP22 #2, CMP11, CM6b, CM3, CUV4, MS-602, PQS1, and SP-Lite2. On 12/1/2017, The TSP-700 was relocated to the center table.
Global Center Table
Installed March 2015 -- Global Horizontal Center Table: (back row) MS-410, CUVA1, CUVB1, MS-210W, GPP, PSP RG780, MS-802; (front row) 501A, UVB-1, TUVR, SPP (vent.), PSP (vent.). On 10/17/2017, the CUVA1 and CUVB1 were removed from service. On 12/1/2017, the 501A was relocated to the west table.
Global East Table
Installed March 2015 -- Global Horizontal East Table: UV-S-A-T, UV-S-B-T, ML-01, CMP22 (vent.), LI-200R, LI-200, LI-210, LI-190, and SP-110. The SR25 (not shown) is located below the CMP22 and the SPN1 (not shown) is located in the lower right corner of the table. On 12/1/2017, the SR25 was relocated to the center table.
Radiometer tower (Eastern View)
December 2017 -- Radiometer Tower (looking toward the east): Global Normal CMP22, Global Normal LI-200R, Global 40-South CMP11, Global 40-South LI-200, Global 40-South CUV4, (6) upwelling instruments and (8) vertical pyranometers. A wind speed & direction sensor measures surface winds and is used to calculate wind chill factor. The EFM-100 at the highest point measures atmospheric electric field. On 3/27/2020, LI-2020 tracker was removed from service and all global normal instruments were relocated to the south patio.
Radiometer tower (Western View)
December 2017 -- Radiometer Tower (looking toward the west): Upwelling PIR, Upwelling CG3, Upwelling CMP11, Upwelling CM3, Upwelling LI-200, and Upwelling LI-190. At the Global 90 North, East, South, and West positions are (4) PSP & (4) LI-200 pyranometers. The SRRL's primary temperature and relative humidity probe is located on this tower.
