- 11:21 MST: Data Quality Statements (DQS) for SRRL BMS instrumentation that were down during Saturday Dec 28 power outage have been created. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:11 MST: On Saturday, December 28th from 7:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. The electrical service to the NREL/SRRL/Mesa Top Facilities will be shutoff to facilitate the electrical infrastructure upgrade project for NREL. During this time MIDC real-time data collection and the internal MIDC server may not be available at certain times. However, the MIDC public server will have power during this time and all historical data will be available will be available there. -Afshin Andreas

- 14:51 MST: As of 12/17/2013 at 13:57 MST, the obsolete responsivity function (separate AM&PM functions) was replaced with spline fit to the AM/PM averaged 2-degree responsivity data. The new computation is done entirely in the data logger. This applies to the SRRL BMS ventilated PSP and non-ventilated PSP. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:20 MST: The wireless Ethernet at the NWTC M2 shed has repaired at approx. 13:49 MST today, data collection has resumed. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:15 MST: The following SRRL BMS Radiometer Tower instruments were swapped out with instruments calibrated in BORCAL 2013-02 & 2013-03 between 13:20 and 14:05 MST today: Global 90-North/East/South/West PSP & LI-200, Global 40-South PSP & LI-200, Upwelling PSP & LI-200, and the Global Normal CM21. Calibration factors were updated in the logger @ 13:54 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:47 MST: The SRRL BMS Direct Normal TUVR (Total UV) instrument, which was decommissioned in 2005, was returned to service today @ 16:31 MST. This measurement replaces the calculated direct total UV (from global and diffuse total UV). -Afshin Andreas
- 15:48 MST: The SRRL PGS-100 spectroradiometer was calibrated on December 12, 2013 outdoors against the NIST traceable LI-1800 PRS-102. The new calibration file was applied to data starting at 15:45 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:45 MST: The wireless Ethernet at the NWTC M2 shed has been down since December 11, 2013 at 13:01 MST. Data will not update until it is repaired.

- 09:14 MST: The SolarTAC 2AP solar tracker as been failing at various times on December 5, 6, and 9 due to the absence of a thermal jacket during very cold temperatures. Direct and Diffuse will be incorrect at those times. -Afshin Andreas
- 17:02 MST: The SRRL EKO MS-300LR Sky Scanner image mapping is no longer working on the internal MIDC server, yet it continues to work on the public MIDC server. Problem is unknown at this time. Instrument was removed from service in 2002, so only historical data is available. Interested users should use the MS-300LR interface on the public server until a solution is found. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:52 MST: Meta data for NREL Spectroradiometers has been moved from the spectral data download page to the SRRL BMS Instrument history page. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:50 MST: The MIDC Sky Imagery animation has been updated and no longer requires Java to be installed on the user's machine. This applies to the SRRL TSI-880 Imager and AMA SkyCam. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:39 MST: MIDC Instrument Maintenance data base has been upgraded. Records from 18-Oct-2013 and older have been converted to the new format. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:12 MST: There was a scheduled power outage at SRRL on 10/5/2013 from 6:12 through 6:58 MST. Some instruments will read bogus or missing during that time, data quality statements will be created later. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:45 MST: The SRRL Global Horiz LI-1800 Spectroradiometer was dried under a heat lamp, calibrated against NIST F655, and returned to service @ 14:40 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:40 MST: The SRRL Global Horiz LI-1800 spectroradiometer was removed from service yesterday at 16:05 MST due to water contamination from rain storms last week. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:32 MST: NREL Outdoor Spectral data can be integrated over the 400 to 700 nm waveband to compute the Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) using the new "PAR summation" option. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:48 MST: SRRL BMS ventilators were cleaned on Sept 6, 2013. Due to prolonged un-shading of the Diffuse 8-48 and PSP, the data from 14:13 through 15:00 MST was corrected using data from the Diffuse CM22. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:57 MST: The following SRRL BMS deck instruments were swapped out with instruments that were calibrated in BORCAL 2013-02 between approx. 15:25 to 15:40 MST today: Diffuse CM22, Diffuse PSP, and Diffuse 8-48. Cal factors were updated in the logger @ 15:32 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:35 MST: GPS-based PWV data is now available for SolarTAC and the University of Oregon. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:07 MST: The temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and dew point sensors at NWTC M2 were replaced with calibrated instruments today (between 7:30 to 11:00 MST). The data logger program was updated today @ 14:04 MST with new calibration constants for the wind speed and temperature sensors. -Afshin Andreas
- 18:20 MST: The SRRL BMS CR3000 data logger was upgraded to OS26 from 17:20 to 17:28 MST today. Data from the CR3000 (deck instruments) will be missing during that time. At 17:29 MST, the CR3000 computed zenith angle was added to the data stream. The CR3000 uses the old SOLPOS based algorithm (not NREL's new SPA). -Afshin Andreas
- 09:11 MST: The SRRL BMS CH1 was returned to service today @ 09:07 MST. The instrument was serviced at the factory and calibrated in NREL/BORCAL 2013-03. Factory repair included repainting the black surface of the element, installing a body connector, and re-sealing. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:00 MST: The following SRRL BMS instruments were calibrated in BORCAL 2013-02: Global Horizontals: CM22, CM6b, PSP (ventilated), PSP, TSP-700, TSP-1, SP-Lite, LI-200, SP-110, SPN1; Direct Normals: NIP #2, NIP #1, LI-201; Diffuse SPN1. Logger program was updated at 13:34 MST today with new cal factors. Responsivity Coefficients for Global PSPs were also updated at 13:57 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:16 MST: SRRL BMS CH1 data has been corrected due to an inadvertant tracker reset at 06:40 MST using NIP#2 data (with a 0.995 correction applied). -Afshin Andreas
- 07:18 MST: Several BMS UV sensors, photometers, and spectroradiometers are down due to GFCI trips (due to water logged ventilators). GFCI's tripped at 16:23 MST yesterday. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:08 MST: SRRL ATI RSR Version 0 is now running. One of four fuses in the system had blown. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:03 MST: To supplement MIDC raw data API, a Field API has been created for users that must know all measurement parameter names for a station before calling the Data API. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:15 MST: SolarTAC Responsivity function for zenith angle corrected CMP22 irradiance was applied to MIDC data acquisition system at 12:12 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:18 MST: SolarTAC CMP22 was swapped with calibrated instrument between 14:44 and 14:46 MST today; CH1 was swapped with calibratated instrument between 14:47 and 14:52 MST today. New calibration factors were updated in logger at 15:15 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:38 MST: The SRRL BMS 3-second data feed for the radiometer tower (internal access only) has been updated to version 305. GloNormal [W/m^2] was replaced with Glo90sPSP [W/m^2]. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:51 MST: The NWTC M2 Global PSP was swapped with a calibrated instrument at 12:04 MST today. New calibration factor was updated in the logger at 13:45 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:27 MST: The SRRL BMS Quantum/PAR sensors (global and upwelling) and the Photometric sensor were calibrated using data on April 26, 2013 from the NIST traceable LI-1800 PRS-456 spectroradiometer. The new calibration factors were applied to the data logger program today @ 14:23 MST. -Afshin Andreas
- 07:57 MST: On 5/23/2013 at 08:21 MST the BMS CH1 was removed from service and the signal from the BMS NIP#1 was patched into the CH1 channel (and the appropriate calibration factor was updated). The CH1 requires repair due to a possible faulty solder joint inside the instrument body (for the signal cable). -Afshin Andreas
- 20:20 MST: The SRRL PGS-100 spectroradiometer was calibrated on April 26, 2013 outdoors against the NIST traceable LI-1800 PRS-102. The new calibration file will be applied to data starting at sun rise tomorrow. -Afshin Andreas
- 15:29 MST: There is a problem with the SRRL BMS Daily Accumulated Precipitation summation, which started on November 12, 2012 due to a data logger operating system upgrade, as a result the accumulation was being reset every 24 minutes (instead of every 24 hours). Program was updated today to correct for the change in operating system behavior. Data will be corrected in the future. In the mean time users can sum up the 1-minute precipitation values over the day. -Afshin Andreas
- 06:54 MST: SRRL ATI RSR Version 0 has been down since May 1 due to a power issue. Users should continue to use Irradiance Inc. RSR Version 2 data. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:18 MST: The SRRL BMS Upwelling Quantum LI-190 sensor was inverted to look at the sky between 10:35 to 13:13 MST today so that it could be calibrated. -Afshin Andreas
- 10:48 MST: June 2012 through December 2012 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 19:38 MST: March 2012 through December 2012 Monthly Data Sets & Reports for ECSU and BSC have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:16 MST: A PAR sensor was added to the NELHA station at 09:01 HST today.

- 13:40 MST: The SRRL Global 40-South LI-1800 Spectroradiometer was removed from service today @ 8:17 MST, calibrated against NIST F655, and returned to service @ 13:37 MST -Afshin Andreas
- 09:07 MST: SRRL BMS data lab temp/RH sensor was returned to service at 08:47 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 08:33 MST: The MIDC raw data API which allows for automated extraction of daily data sets from any MIDC station has been created. Extracted data is equivalent to data retrieved using the All Raw Data option from the MIDC daily data web interface, however URL structure has been simplified for API use.

- 08:32 MST: March 2012 through May 2012 Monthly Data Sets & Reports/Plots for SRRL BMS have been generated. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:51 MST: The SAMPA web-based calculator has been updated to include the ΔUT1 input. -Afshin Andreas
- 16:32 MST: SPA source code which is available for download has been updated to include latest revisions (see comments in source code). -Afshin Andreas
- 14:45 MST: The SPA web-based calculator has been updated to include the ΔUT1 input. -Afshin Andreas
- 13:24 MST: As of 13:10 MST today, all MIDC data acquisition systems have been switch from UT to UTC. The fractional second difference between UTC and UT, called ΔUT1, is used to adjust UTC for earth's irregular rotation rate and is derived from observation only. The current value of ΔUT1, which is required for SPA, has been added to the SRRL BMS data stream. -Afshin Andreas

- 13:22 MST: Because of NREL power outage, SRRL BMS Direct CH1 and Diffuse 8-48 data has been reconstructed from 3/2/2013 at 13:06 MST to 18:24 MST using data from the SRRL RSR2. Data Quality Statements will be updated to reflect this. -Afshin Andreas
- 12:50 MST: An Excel® spreadsheet to help the user determine instrument measurement uncertainty is now available on MIDC. -Afshin Andreas
- 14:26 MST: SRRL was without power from 3/2/2013 at 08:06 MST to 18:24 MST. Various Baseline Measurement System (BMS) instruments will be down at different times depending on UPS support systems. The UPS powering the two BMS Sci-Tec trackers died at 13:06 MST. Data quality statements for each instrument will be created identifying exact down times. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:30 MST: Data collection for SRRL GPS-Based PWV resumed at 09:15 MST today. No data is available since 3/2/2013 at 07:45 MST because the Trimble data acquisition device lost all its settings during the NREL power outage. -Afshin Andreas
- 10:38 MST: Communcation to HSU was restored at approx 9:00 MST today. -Afshin Andreas
- 10:37 MST: Communcation to HSU and NELHA station has been lost. Problem is unknown at this time. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:07 MST: There will be a scheduled NREL power outage Saturday March 2 from 08:00 MST to 16:00 MST. This work is to accommodate an upgrade to the NREL campus power capacity.
The power outage will affect all computer systems and network infrastructure. As a result the NREL MIDC web site will not be available during this time as UPS systems may not protect the systems throughout the entire outage duration.
After power is restored and full operations resume there should be no data loss.

- 14:48 MST: The ability to switch from "normal" to "large" fonts is now available on MIDC time series daily plots or site comparison plots. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:15 MST: There is a problem with the SRRL BMS Upwelling PIR which started on Feb 11, 2013. Apparently related to dome temperature measurement (likely due to water infiltration into the bendix connector). Problem will be investigated tomorrow. -Afshin Andreas
- 11:07 MST: A new MIDC Home Page that provides a map of all our measurement stations is now available. The mapping is provided by Google Static Maps API, however automatic zooming for closely clustered stations is provided and the back button should work to "un-zoom". There is also a drop down list for all the stations for those that would like to go directly to a measurement station. -Afshin Andreas
- 10:06 MST: SRRL Global Horiz LI-1800 Spectroradiometer has been down since Jan 13 @ 745 MST, problem unknown at this time. -Afshin Andreas
- 17:06 MST: Two U.S. Virgin Islands Met Towers (Longford and Bovoni 2) have been added to added to MIDC. Data is available since December 13, 2012.

- 11:12 MST: The SRRL BMS 3-second data feed for the radiometer tower (internal access only) has been updated to version 304. CNR1Temp was replaced with GloNormal [W/m^2] and DWCG3Net was replaced with GloPhoto [klux]. -Afshin Andreas
- 09:11 MST: Due to data logger clock corruption, SMUD Anatolia data from Dec 25, 2012 through Jan 2, 2013 has been removed from MIDC until further notice. -Afshin Andreas
